At Adobe Associates, our history is built on mentorship, longevity, and the incredible people who have shaped land surveying in Sonoma County for decades. This week, a few generations of the Adobe surveying crew teamed up out in the field for a very special project.
Surveying Principal Aaron Smith shared this fantastic reflection on a memorable day in the field:
“Pretty cool day today surveying with the guys!!! I thought it was very fitting to get a picture of the team. We were retracing some monuments Paul set in the 80’s for some work he is doing at Jack London in Glen Ellen.
I started at the company in 1991 and Paul was the guy that mentored me and helped me get licensed. He’s been surveying in Sonoma County since about 1970. So, this means 55 years later he’s still finding property corners. It’s really cool because in the picture is Carson who will be a junior at Purdue…… Let’s just say there might be one or two generations between them.
Lastly, we relocated the iron pipe monument Paul set in the 80’s, and we won’t tell him, but his monument was off ¼” …. 😊
Enjoy the picture and let’s appreciate the good times we are in because Father Time will not slow down!
Thanks for helping us today, Paul…. You still got it!”
