Dave Brown has been with Adobe Associates, Inc. since its founding in 1982, and under his leadership, Adobe has become a formidable player in the industry. All over the North Bay, private landowners, developers and public agencies benefit from the technical support and resources that Dave provides to his civil engineering project team. Dave takes pride in Adobe’s growth and continued success, and pleasure in having a part when clients and staff reach their goals.

Dave has a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He is a proud member of the American Council of Engineering Companies, North Coast Builders Exchange, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce, United States Green Building Council and the Congress for New Urbanism.
 

Aaron R. Smith, PLS

Vice President
Survey Department, Principal Land Surveyor

Aaron is passionate about the profession of land surveying! No challenge is too great to tackle and stretching to achieve more is all in a days work. He is licensed in the state of California and Nevada and enjoys networking with other professionals wherever they are. The connections he makes expands Adobe's Associates, Inc.'s ability to go "above and beyond" for clients; and his peers statewide have shown their confidence in Aaron by electing him to serve as the 2010 President of the California Land Surveyors Association. Through his knowledge, leadership, and easy availability, Aaron inspires the confidence of clients and peers alike. Aaron is a great source of timely and accurate information. His clients soon learn if you want to get something done, check in with Aaron. If he doesn't know, he'll find out and make sure the job is successfully completed.

Aaron has a B.S. in Business Administration from Pacific Union College. He is a proud member of the California Land Surveyor’s Association, Western Federation of Professional Surveyors, Nevada Association of Land Surveyors, American Congress on Surveying and Mapping and the National Society of Professional Surveyors.
 

Paul M. Brown, PLS

Paul is not only Adobe Associates, Inc.’s founder, but also the firm's top grammarian, document guru, and vocalist. These qualities, together with his quest for greater professional knowledge and care for people, have helped establish the company's excellent reputation among clients and peers. Paul's proudest professional achievement is the establishment of a company built on honesty and integrity that genuinely cares about its clients and its employees. He really enjoys the practice of professional land surveying and the satisfaction of completing a project well. As Paul often says, "If we do our job right, when our clients need our service again, they will think of us automatically."

Paul has a B.S. in English from Iowa State University and a M.A. in Christian Education & Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary. Paul’s affiliations include: the California Land Surveyors Association, American Congress on Surveying and Mapping, National Society of Professional Surveyors, and per diem chaplain for Memorial Hospice of Santa Rosa and Petaluma Hospice.
 

Steven R. Brown, P.E.

When Steve's colleagues are relying on his input to advance their projects, experience counts - a breadth of experience acquired in decades spent out in the field, evaluating properties, seeing the countryside, and helping people realize their dreams. Steve is most inspired by helping people to get their sites developed, approved, and through the permitting process. If asked to narrow it down, he would say his greatest professional success has been to develop Adobe's wastewater department while establishing a rapport with public agencies to help clients through the sometimes difficult process of on-site wastewater treatment. Adobe has gained a very positive reputation in the land development community as a result, and it is that reputation for success that draws new and returning clients to the firm.

Steve has a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. His professional affiliations include: American Council of Engineering Companies of California, National On-Site Wastewater Recycling Association, and the California Environmental Health Association.
 

Kevin C. Maas, P.E.

Civil Engineering Department, Project Manager

For Kevin, every finished project offers inspiration and a lesson. He enjoys visits to completed project sites where he can see the physical manifestation of Adobe's Associates, Inc.'s engineers' designs and envision how future project designs could be improved. With over 28 years of experience in civil engineering design and land development, Kevin's knowledge of agency standards and industry practices gives colleagues and clients a dependable resource to help them through the permitting process. Kevin has a talent for drawing a great end result from difficult or challenging people, processes, and projects. His contributions minimize risk and maximize satisfaction for staff and clients.

Kevin has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Civil Engineers and the California Stormwater Quality Association.  He is certified as a Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) and a Qualified SWPPP Practictioner (QSP).
 

Timothy L Schram, P. E., LEED AP

Civil Engineering Department, Associate Principal 

Since joining Adobe Associates Inc., in 2000, Tim has gained and drawn on knowledge and expertise gathered while working alongside the firm's principals and other longtime engineers and surveyors. Tim has worked his way up through the ranks by working as a land survey crew member, designer/drafter, and now project manager. He is familiar with all aspects involved in leading his client's projects to successful completion. As a project manager, Tim is the "go-to man'' when clients, consultants, and colleagues have questions or concerns. As a team member, he is inspired by Adobe's collegial environment and the quality of work delivered on every job. As a provisional engineer and project manager, he embodies the positive attitude, effectiveness and focus on client relationships that have shaped Adode's growing success.

Tim has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. He is a member and past-President of the 20-30 Club of the North Bay and a member of the Engineering Contractors Association (E.C.A.).
 

Gregory M. Schram P.E., LEED AP

Wastewater Department, Project Engineer

Greg received his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. While still a student, Greg began his tenure at Adobe Associates, Inc. as an intern in the survey department. Upon graduation in 2005, he became a full-time member if the Adobe team. Greg is steady, consistent, and well-liked by those around him. Greg's focus is on rural land development, site evaluation and testing for on-site wastewater disposal systems, and the design of a variety of disposal systems including small package treatment plants for commercial projects. Greg's experience with governmental regulations and his excellent working relationship with public agencies help to make clients' projects successful. Clients and colleagues alike rely on Greg's experience and leadership, both in the office and in the field.

Greg has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. He is a member of the California Onsite Wastewater Association and the Rohnert Park/Cotati 20-30 Club.
